After graduating from Roedean (SA) in 2009, Gabriella studied make-up, beauty and special effects make-up for film for two years. At the end of 2011, she was accepted by Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, Georgia, USA. At the end of 2016 Gabriella graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.F.A in production design. She currently works for a company called IDEA Orlando. This company mainly design ports of call in the Caribbean for major cruise lines such as MSC, Disney Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean International.
Susan Gaylard Matric 1991 awarded three fellowships
Susan Gaylard, Associate Professor of Italian Studies at the University of Washington, USA, has been awarded three fellowships for the upcoming year! Professor Gaylard has won the Renaissance Society of America-Kress Bodleian Library fellowship for research at the Bodleian Library at the University of Oxford, this summer. Professor Gaylard has also won a fellowship from the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas, Austin, for archival research next year. She will also be a fellow with the Simpson Center Society of Scholars for the 2017-2018 academic year. All three fellowships will support her current book project, Beautiful Monsters: Erasing women from Renaissance histories. Congratulations to Professor Gaylard!

Foundation Day 2017 London
Foundation Day 2017 was also celebrated by Roedean Old Girls in London. A big ‘thank you’ to Natalie Immelman (2003) for organising such a enjoyable event. Here are a few ladies from the Matric class of 1983 and below, the Matric class of 1964.
