The Senior School library was converted into a cosy ‘book lounge’ for SAORA’s last book event of the year, where Miranda Sherry chatted to Tamara Lepine Williams about her new book, Bone Meal for Roses. Guests were treated to delicious snacks and drinks, and the lucky draw prize of two of Miranda’s books added much excitement to the event.
The SAORA was on hand to welcome the Grade 0s 2017 at their Orientation Day. These girls will be joining Grade 0 at Roedean in 2017 and SAORA welcomed them by giving each girl a white rose, and a copy of the book ‘Roedean one hundred years 1903 – 2003′.
Wishing the Matrics of 2016 all the very best for their upcoming exams!
Jenny Newman was absolutely delighted to receive her prize of the wheelbarrow full of gardening goodies which was raffled at A Blooming Affair, held on 1 October. She would also like to thank her gardener, Norman Zondi, for his hard work in her garden.
The basket of goodies was won by Mike Burnett – congratulations!
