Roedean Old Girls make a splash at Masters Swimming Champs

Congratulations to Jane Asher (Matric1947), Jane (Roberts) Hulley (Matric 1959), Anne (Roberts) Jones (Matric 1961), Susan (Roberts) Leuner (Matric 1955), Marissa Rollnick (Matric 1968)
Sandra Murray (teacher at Roedean), and Charlotte Hulley (Honorary Old Girl) who recently took part
Masters National Swimming Championships held in February 2018.

Marissa Rollnick (Matric 1968) receives top award

Congratulations to Marissa Rollnick (Matric 1968) who recently received the 2018 NARST Distinguished Contribution to Science Education through Research Award. According to the Wits University website, this award recognises scholars who have made contributions to, provided notable leadership in, and had substantial impact on, science education through research over a period of at least 20 years.

Emeritus Professor Rollnick completed her BSc and teaching diploma at Wits University. She thereafter obtained her masters in chemical education at the University of East Anglia and her PhD in 1988 at Wits University.

Foundation Day 2018

Foundation Day was held on Saturday 24 February and Old Roedeanians gathered on Bears Lawn to celebrate the school’s 115th birthday. Celebrations were also held in London and Cape Town.

3. Once on your profile, in the top menu bar, click on the “search block” and type “South African Old Roedeanian Association”. The closed group should list.
4. On the right-hand side click on “Ask to join”.
5. A request will be sent to the administrators; shortly thereafter you should be added to the group.
